EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST – Community Services

East Grampians Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our dedicated Allied Health team and provide high-quality exercise therapy services to our community. This is an on-going position up to full time hours.

East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.

About the Role

This role is part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, podiatrists, a health promotion officer, a speech pathologist, social workers, allied health assistants, and maternal child and health nurses, all co-located in the Community Health Centre.  There is a diversity of work with clients across acute, community, regional and aged care settings.

The exercise physiologists work as part of the team of four physiotherapists, three exercise physiologists and four allied health assistants. This position would be suitable for either an experienced exercise physiologist or one in their early career. If a new graduate is successful, they will be supported through a graduate program that includes professional development, external support, and clinical supervision to assist in their ongoing growth and success in the role.

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police, Working With Children Checks, NDIS Worker Screening Check)
