HELIPAD

These unsolicited comments were particularly satisfying to know that the community has an emergency landing pad which is world-class.

The completion of the John McNally Emergency Helicopter Landing Pad was another milestone for EGHS. Preliminary plans for the building of a helipad in conjunction with the new hospital development were adopted in 2002, with the location being adjacent to Basham Street established as part of the EGHS Master-plan. The John McNally Emergency Helicopter Landing Pad evolved through a community partnership, with the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation : Ararat Branch and the Ararat Rural City on behalf of the residents of Ararat and District.
