A VITAL LINK TO THE COMMUNITY
East Grampians Health Service is supported by an incredible team of volunteers who make a meaningful difference across many areas of our organisation. They generously contribute countless hours at the Patricia Hinchey Centre, 70 Lowe Street, Garden View Court, Meals on Wheels and the Toy Library in Ararat, and Willaura Residential Aged Care. Their dedication enhances the care, wellbeing and experience of our patients, residents, clients and the wider community.

East Grampians Health Service is proud to be supported by four dedicated auxiliaries whose fundraising efforts help purchase and replace vital equipment across our Ararat and Willaura facilities. Together with the generosity of our community, they help us continue to provide high-quality care in welcoming, well-equipped environments.
More than 150 volunteers generously give their time across our health service, enhancing the lives of patients, residents, clients, visitors and staff.
Whether providing support, companionship or sharing their skills, our volunteers make a meaningful difference every day. We also value the voices of our consumers, carers and community members. Through consumer participation, we partner with those who use our services to help shape and improve the care we provide, ensuring it reflects the needs and priorities of our community.

Become a Volunteer
East Grampians Health Service is always looking for community members to join our volunteer team. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or can volunteer more regularly, your time can make a real difference.
No special skills are required, just a willingness to help. We offer flexible volunteering opportunities across weekdays and weekends to suit your availability.
To get started, you’ll meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss volunteer opportunities and complete the required paperwork. All volunteers must complete a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check before commencing. To find out more about volunteering in Ararat or Willaura, please contact the East Grampians Health Service Volunteer Coordinator.
