Cushions provide comfort during treatment

People undergoing dialysis treatment at East Grampians Health Service now do so in more comfort, thanks to a donation by the EGHS Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary purchased five Roho cushions, which are designed to provide a comfortable and stable sitting environment for people having to sit for long periods of time, such as dialysis patients, who are often receiving treatment for many hours at a time.

“We learned that not all of the treatment chairs in the dialysis department were fitted out with the Roho cushions,” Auxiliary president Margie Kilpatrick said.

“We felt that it was important that all patients had access to a comfortable experience while undergoing dialysis treatment, and are very pleased to have been able to provide these cushions.

“The funds were raised through our recent ‘From the Orchard’ luncheon in Willaura.”
