Last Friday night at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre, the East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary celebrated another highly successful Women, Wisdom & Wellbeing Dinner with over 270 guests in attendance.
Catriona Rowntree from Channel Nines “Getaway show” was the guest speaker on the night, keeping everyone entertained with her antidotal stories from making the transition as city girl from Sydney to a farmers wife in central Victoria. Catriona told stories on how her perception of being a farmer’s wife was quite different to what reality was, coupled together with her jet setting lifestyle as a TV travel reporter, she was very entertaining.
East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary President , Mrs. Margie Kilpatrick said “we were absolutely delighted to have Catriona Rowntree as our guest speaker this year, Catriona was funny, witty and absolute delight to listen too, The dinner was well supported by many local businesses and our hardworking dedicated volunteers., We raised in excess of $17,000 this year, which is tremendous effort and this will enable the Health Service to purchase a much needed Cardiac Monitor for use in the Inpatient Unit.”
Mrs. Kilpatrick said that she would like to thank all the women who came along to the dinner and the wonderful generosity of local businesses who helped make the night such a success by supporting us with the fundraising work that we do for our local Health Service.
