At the 14th J K McDougall Lecture, the Ararat ALP Branch announced it would donate funds to East Grampians Health Service.
President of the branch Lyn Hughes and secretary Julie Suares visited EGHS to hand over the cheque and were shown the Pyrenees House Education Centre, which is a vital part of future proofing the workforce at EGHS, by chief executive Nick Bush.
“We recognise the vital role that EGHS plays in our community, providing quality health care and services to meet the diverse needs of the people in our region,” Ms Suares said.
EGHS chief executive Nick Bush thanked the branch for its generous donation.
“Generosity like this certainly continues to assist the health service to have the best facilities and equipment that allows us to provide the best of care to our community,” he said.
