Woolies donates $2000 to the EGHS Murray to Moyne team

Ararat Woolworths have been hard at work raising money for the Murray to Moyne Relay Bike Ride through running sausage sizzles, in store raffles of fruit & veg and groceries.

Ararat Woolworths Store Manager Mr. Andrew Hill said “Woolworths raises money for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and know we are looking to raise money locally. At the moment our focus is raising money in 14 stores across the Western Victoria for rural hospitals.”

Mr. Hill commented that “we heard the Murray to Moyne Bike riders were working hard to raise money for the  East Grampians Health Service to buy a new Cardiac Monitor for the Inpatient Unit of the Ararat Hospital and thought it would be a great project to contribute our fundraising efforts towards”.

Community Liaison Officer, Mr. Danny Drake commended Woolworths efforts and said “It great to see local Business’s under a large corporate umbrella such as Woolworths support our local community which will see a direct benefit from these efforts.”

Fundraising on this week is the Trivia Night (Friday 23th March) $10.00 a ticket. So please come along and a have a great night supporting your local riders. For further information about booking a table please contacts Nicole on 5352 9341
