EGHS is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to our community.

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships.  We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services:

East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts specialty clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.

About The Role

The occupational therapy department consists of two experienced occupational therapists and access to Allied Health Assistant support. Occupational therapy is part of a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, podiatrists, social workers, a speech pathologist, a health promotion officer, allied health assistants and maternal child and health nurses which are co-located in the Community Health Centre.

The occupational therapists provide a wide range of services across, paediatric, community, outreach, acute and aged care clients. There are opportunities for the successful applicant to work across multiple areas with a generalist caseload providing diversity and new learning each day.

About You

  • Must be registered with AHPRA prior to commencing
  • Current First aid certificate

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police, Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
