Another wonderful day for the Willaura Market, with more stall holders and variety of goods and foods for sale. The Willaura Health Care Auxiliary raised over $4,500 from the proceeds of the market which will be donated to Willaura Health Care for furnishings and equipment.
Willaura Market Coordinator Mrs Jane Millear said “the students from Ararat 800 School entertained the crowd with their skillful circus acts and the music of Ruth & Ziggy created a great atmosphere for the day. There was delicious aromas coming from Danny’s Kitchen and Lions club BBQ which tempted the appetites along with donuts, pancakes and hot potato twists and topped off with homemade ice creams.”
A major Willaura Health Care auxiliary raffle which had been going over a number of weeks leading up to the market was drawn with winners being for 1st Prize 2 night’s accommodation at Pinnacle Holiday Lodge – Arthur Bullen, 2nd Prize Greenvale Meats – Colin Mckenzie, 3rd Prize UFS Pharmacy Willaura – Joan Jenkinson.
Mrs Millear highlighted that “the support from the community at large and the help from volunteers was greatly appreciated which made the day run smoothly.”
