Willaura Hospital gets new curtains

A recent donation from the Willaura Hospital Auxiliary of $5,500 has allowed for new curtains to be installed at the Willaura Hospital.

Willaura Hospital Auxiliary President Mrs Judy Paterson said “The new curtains will be of great benefit to the residents of Willaura Health Service and really freshens up the place. This will help improve the room’s appearance and functionality for residents accommodation needs.”

Today, Willaura Health Care offers a range of services including hospital, district nursing and palliative care together with residential and aged care at the Nursing Home and Parklands House Hostel.

The Willaura Hospital Auxiliary is extremely active in their support to Willaura Health Care, and members continually have a presence with volunteering and fundraising which is an added benefit to the patients, residents, day centre participants and staff.

The recent successful Willaura Market held in the hospital grounds in March is a wonderful example of the commitment of the Auxiliary members to the local health service and certainly demonstrates that Willaura is a vibrant and committed community.

At a recent inspection by East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Nick Bush said: “East Grampians Health Service is very grateful to the Auxiliary of the Willaura Hospital.  We also take this opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing wonderful support from the Willaura and district community to the health service
