Welcome to our graduate nurses

East Grampians Health Service has welcomed 10 enrolled nurses and 10 registered nurses, who have commenced their graduate program at EGHS.

They will rotate through various EGHS clinical departments, such as 70 Lowe Street, Garden View Court, Willaura Health Care, Community Nursing, Peri-operative Unit, In-patient Unit and Urgent Care Centre.

EGHS has also partnered with Ararat Medical Centre in 2023, to offer a clinical rotation for graduates to become familiar with practice nursing.

EGHS continues its ongoing partnership with Beaufort and Skipton Health Service to offer graduates a clinical rotation in a different health service.

Graduate nurses will be supported to develop their clinical skills, in their transition to nursing, by the education team at EGHS.  They will attend six study days throughout the year, as part of the graduate program.

Please make them welcome if you see them around the health service!

East Grampians Health Service acknowledges the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia, Jupagalk and Eastern Maar peoples as the Traditional Custodians of these lands. We acknowledge that their holistic approach to health; harmony between body, mind, spirit and environment, has been practiced on these lands for thousands of years. We thank past and present Elders for this knowledge to help improve health and wellbeing for all Australians.
