Toy Library movie day a big success

The East Grampians Health Service Ark Toy and Activity Library’s annual movie day attracted more than 200 people and raised close to $2000.

The movie ‘Finding your feet’ proved a great choice and was enjoyed by the patrons who attended.

Toy Library president Kaye Chamings said the afternoon was a wonderful success both socially and financially.

“I would like to thank the Astor Cinema staff for their support in working with members to organise this annual event, and I would also like to thank the community for their continued support,” she said.

The $1961 raised will be used to purchase outdoor play equipment for the Toy Library when it moves into the redeveloped Community Health Centre.

The EGHS Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay teams, the Cranks and Defibrillators, have also nominated the Toy Library for their fundraising from this year’s event in April.

The Murray to Moyne teams’ final fund raising event is an Easter Egg Hunt in Alexandra Gardens on Thursday March 29 at 10am, $5 per preschooler. Meet at the rotunda near the café.

“Come along and enjoy this activity with your pre-school aged children – the Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance!” Mrs Chamings said.
