Research support at EGHS

East Grampians Health Service is committed to delivering high-quality health care and recognises that research is integral in doing so – with this in mind, in late 2015 EGHS became a full partner in Western Alliance.

Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre and Network is a partnership of the major health services across Western Victoria, the Western Victoria PHN and the two regional universities, Federation University and Deakin University.

Through Western Alliance, the partners, including EGHS, are working to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in the west through collaborative health care, research, education and training.

One initiative of Western Alliance is to provide on-the-ground support for clinical and non-clinical staff in the health services who are engaged in or interested in becoming engaged in research.

In her role as Project Officer – Research Support, Emma West is providing high-quality research advice and support for EGHS staff.

Emma is based at EGHS on alternate weeks, Mondays to Wednesdays. If you have an idea or questions regarding research, feel free to drop in to see Emma at EGHS level 2 Health Partnerships, or give her a call.

“I will also be facilitating an informal lunchtime discussion once a month at EGHS on quality improvement/research ideas and projects,” Emma said.
