East Grampians Health Service has distributed its Quality of Care Report – Community Matters, the report is produced to provide quality and safety information for the community.
Feedback has been received from community members about the cost of producing the report and money being better spent elsewhere. As indicated in the 2014-15 Victorian Health Policy and Funding Guidelines, all Victorian health services are required to publish an annual quality of care report for the financial year as transparency has been a proven to improve health service performance.
The report has been compiled to relay information on the statistics of care and services provided by East Grampians Health Service. Improvements put in place is a focus of the report.
East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Mr. Nick Bush said he believes that transparency in communication with the community help to keep them well informed of improvements and issues that health is dealing with.
Distribution of the report will be through the local post office delivered to home and businesses and can be accessed online www.eghs.net.au/publications/reports
