Phil a die-hard Doggies fan

One of Ararat’s most passionate Bulldogs’ supporters and Patricia Hinchey Centre regular, Phil Donohue, received the surprise of his life when he received a new Bulldogs’ cap and scarf.

Phil has been a lifelong supporter of the ‘Doggies’ but his old cap was looking a bit worse for wear.

Patricia Hinchey Centre Auxiliary president Norm Tosch wrote to the Western Bulldogs asking them if they would be willing to replace his gear and they were only too happy to oblige.

“Phil was overjoyed when the items were presented to him and we would like to say thank you for providing them,” Patricia Hinchey Centre manager Jacinta Harman said.

“It is good to see the club giving back to their fans.”

Phil, who made a special thank you card to send to the Western Bulldogs, made sure he was wearing his new footy gear at the Patricia Hinchey Centre Grand Final Day on Thursday.

Residents enjoyed footy food and lots of games with some tough competitors in the handball competition.
