Norm Tosch highest award by Lions

Ararat Lion Mr. Norm Tosch has recently received the highest award that Lions International can bestow on any individual. Mr. Tosch joins a distinguished group of people that have received the “The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award”; Melvin Jones was the founder of Lions International.

The fellowship was set up to help and fund medication to people affected by river blindness, a debilitating parasitic infection which is one of the major causes of preventable blindness in the world   Mr. Tosch’s name will be added to an elite list of individuals at the headquarters of Lions International in Oakbrook, Illinois USA.

 

Mr. Tosch is also recognized for his long and continued commitment to as a volunteer at East Grampians Health Service where Mr. Tosch is a life Governor of the Health Service and has served for many years as President of Patricia Hinchey Day Centre Auxiliary where he still volunteers on the committee.

East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Mr. Nick Bush said “I would like to congratulate Norm on behalf of the Board and Staff of East Grampians Health Service on receiving this most distinguished award Lions International can award and thank Norm for his generosity and help to the Health Service over many years of dedicated service.
