New Toys for Ark Toy & Activity Centre

Over $2000 was raised by the Ark Toy & Activity’s film event “The Lady in the Van” held earlier in the year, which has been used to refresh the Toy library with loads of educational games, puzzles, language games, DVD’s and other toys.

President, Kaye Chamings said “These are more than just toys, these items are chosen to help develop particular senses in children with special needs and as a result we are also finding that Aged Care facilities are using them more and more to help provide stimulation and sensory development for their residents”.

The Ark Toy & Activity Centre is housed next to EGHS main hospital in Ararat and is open from 10.00-12.00 every Wednesday. Mothers groups are welcome to use the facilities. Further information is available by phoning the Centre on 53529453 or Kaye on 5352 2289.
