The Ararat Breast Cancer Support Group has donated more than $3000 to the East Grampians Health Service Oncology Department on behalf of the Buangor Community Sports Centre Committee.
The Buangor committee donated $3200 to the Breast Cancer Support Group to ensure the funds were used for the benefit of people from Ararat and the wider region.
The funds were used to purchase a new vital signs monitor for the Oncology Department, to assist in the treatment of women with breast cancer and other cancer patients.
“We would like to thank the Ararat Breast Cancer Support Group for their ongoing support of the Oncology Department and also thank the Buangor Community Sports Centre Committee for their generous donation,” EGHS chief executive Nick Bush said.
“The support of local groups such as these ensures that we are able to continue to provide high quality care to cancer patients from across the region.
