More than 100 people attended the Murray to Moyne Trivia Night, the main fundraiser for this year’s East Grampians Health Service Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay team, and after a hiatus of four years, the popularity of this event hasn’t diminished.
Organised by team member Laura White and a subcommittee including Charlie Reid, Lisa Haddow and Erin Hinchliffe, the event was a great success, raising $3454.
Led by Quiz Master Charlie Reid, the competition was fierce, particularly the competition for best dressed, using newspapers!
The winning trivia team was the AME Systems’ team (Captain Wayne Shrimpton, Steve, Fiona, Marisol, Saskia, Hayden, Justin, Jerry, Jo), with runners up after a three way tie breaker, Shelley McKinnis’ Family and Friends team.
Winner of the Newspaper Challenge was Statue of Liberty Justin Haycraft, and runner up was Amelia Miller in her Geisha creation.
Many generous sponsors provided items for the raffle, including a bike donated by Cyclescape in Ballarat, which was won by Vicki Brewster.
EGHS and the Murray to Moyne team thanks all sponsors for their generosity, including the Ararat RSL for providing the venue, and sponsors of raffle prizes including Cyclescape Ballarat, The Ararat Advocate, Ararat Dental, Ararat Physio and Co, House of Nai, Ararat Farm Supplies, Growmaster Grampians, and Zest Living.
