Minister for Health visits EGHS

Minister for Health Mary-Anne Thomas visited East Grampians Health Service in September.

During her visit, the Minister toured the EGHS Community Services’ areas, including Community Nursing and the Community Health Centre, meeting with staff and discussing the work of the EGHS community services’ team, who ensure people are being cared for at home to avoid or reduce the potential of an admission to hospital or residential care.

She was also shown the new short notice family daycare facility.

The Minister was accompanied by Board Directors Sybil Abbott-Burmeister and Debbie Rybicki, Chief Executive Nick Bush, Director of Community Services Sarah Woodburn, along with other executive staff.

During the visit, the Board Directors also discussed the Board’s priority to redevelop Willaura Hospital.
