Ararat lions have recently donated a pressure relieving mattress to the residents of 70 Lowe Street at East Grampians Health Service.
Ararat Lions President, Mr. Kevin Hull said “we are delighted to be able to donate a pressure relieving mattress to help the residents manage their discomfort whilst in care at 70 Lowe Street. Aged Care is important to us at Lions as the elderly all need a bit more help in this part of their lives.”
East Grampians Health Service Acting Director of Clinical Services Mr. Peter Armstrong said “we are so fortunate to have groups such as the lions continually thinking of how they can help others in our community, this pressure relieving mattress will make a big difference to the residents in our care. I would like to thank the Ararat Lions for their continued support and help to the Health Service and making a difference to others in need.”
Mr. Armstrong commented that “the staff at 70 Lowe Street are continually improving the quality of their care with a particular focus on person centered care that offers a suitable alternative home for older people who require high level care.”
