East Grampians Health Service has finalized the repairs to the roof and repairs of the 1937 three story building.
The East Grampians Health Service Building for the Future Foundation is a charitable Trust established in 2010 with the purpose of providing funding for special purpose projects, bursarships and equipment for East Grampians Health Service.
The Trust is governed by six independent local Trustees who manage the Trust’s assets and the distribution of funding for the sole benefit of the Health Service.
The Foundation Trustees are Mr Bill Jones, Mr David Hosking, Mrs Judy Paterson & Ms Jill Tivey. The EGHS Board representatives on the Foundation are Mr Geoff Laidlaw and Mr Wilf Dickenson.
East Grampians Health Service Building for the Future Foundation chairperson Mr. David Hosking said “it was a pleasure to donate $100,000 to commence the $300,000 works. The department of health supported our donation with $200,000.
Mr. Hosking highlighted that being a three story building maintenance of the roof and fascia has been difficult and anchor points and harnesses were now in place to hold workers on the roof.
East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Officer stated the color scheme was developed by Kevin McIntyre who has restored the stately homestead Narrapumlap. Mr. Bush thanked Mr. McIntyre for his assistance in designing a refresh for the building and the building for the future for their generous donation of $100,000.
East Grampians Health Service Building for the Future Foundation is supporting EGHS maintain and develops its obstetric services through a $10,000 bursarship this year.
Building the Future Foundation chairperson Mr. Hosking highlighted the Building for the Future Foundation is supporting obstetric services at EGHS and had awarded Catherine Wiley a bursarship of $10,000 to complete a graduate diploma in obstetrics.
Mr. Hosking highlighted the Building for the Future Foundation will be again offering a graduate diploma midwifery bursarship of $10,000 next year.
