The East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary generously donate $17,138.35 towards the purchase of Theatre operating equipment, Theatre shoulder traction equipment, chairs for the Theatre waiting room and pressure relieving mattresses for the Inpatient Unit.
EGHS Auxiliary President, Mrs. Margie Kilpatrick, said that “The Auxiliary work so hard during the year with their fundraising activities and it so satisfying for the ladies to see the help that they can contribute to the Health Service. I would also like to thank all the ladies from across the region that come along to our events and support our fundraising events during the year.”
East Grampians Health Service Peri-operative Manager Ms Jane Smith said “we are so thankful of the support from the EGHS Auxiliary. This equipment will be of enormous benefit to the Theatre team and supports the Health Service’s commitment to providing the highest quality health care facilities and services for our local community.”
East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Officer Mr Nick Bush said “The East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary are a committed group of women who have provided tremendous support to EGHS that has helped the Health Service be one of the best equipped rural Health Services in Victoria, I thank them very much.”
East Grampians Health Service Inpatient Unit Manager Ms Lorine Paterson said “The mattresses will be of enormous benefit to our many patients offering so much more comfort and support, particularly our elderly patients. I and my staff are very grateful for EGHS Auxiliary’s generosity and ongoing support to the Inpatient Unit.
EGHS Auxiliary is in full swing preparations for this year’s ‘Women, Wisdom and Wellbeing Dinner’ on Friday 26th July at the Performing Arts Centre. The dinner attracts close to 300 women from across the region and is always a sellout event.
