The winner of the 70 Lowe Street “Holiday Raffle” is local identity Peter “Spocka” McIntyre, the raffle was limited to only 200 tickets valued at $5,000 and Mr. McIntyre was the lucky winner.
Mr. McIntyre said “I was wrapped to win the holiday raffle and I plan to take my mates along with me too. My mates have always been there for me in tough times and this is a bit of a thank you back to them.
Mr McInyre highlighted that “he plans to take his mates with him to Broome and they might even do a spot of fishing while where there.”
Mr. McIntrye also commented that “he would like to thank the 70 Lowe Street Auxiliary for putting together such a great prize and also Chris Buwalda, the Manager at Harvey World Travel Horsham for helping out with the prize.”
70 Lowe Street Auxiliary President Ms. Kate Arbon-Ellis said “This was such a great prize to raffle and we have been able to raise over $4,000 that we will dedicate to the creation of beauty/hairdressing room which will be a great benefit to the residents of 70 Lowe Street.”
70 Lowe Street Unit Manager Mrs. Sharon Taylor said “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the 70 Lowe Street Auxiliary and we are so fortunate to have such hardworking volunteers raising funds for the residents.”
