It was another great success for the 12th annual 3 Person Ambrose, East Grampians Health Service Charity Golf Day held at the Chalambar Golf Course on Sunday 20th October.
Many who attended have supported this event over the past twelve years, not only put in a fine effort on the course, but also put their hand in their pockets to support this annual event for the East Grampians Health Service which raised $3,670.00.
All monies raised will go towards the purchase of a defibrillator for the use in the new Dialysis and Chemotherapy wards at East Grampians Health Service.
At the presentations EGHS Board President Louise Staley acknowledged the great support of the Chalambar Golf Club, their staff and members. Ms Staley thanked the fantastic sponsorship for this year’s event including Kings Cars Ararat, Melbourne Parkview Hotel, Ace Radio, Ararat Mitre 10, Advantage Pharmacy Ararat, AME Systems, Landmark Ararat, Jerrams Auto Parts & Electronics, Club Barham Resort, B’s Meats, Fosters Mensland, Harvey Norman Ararat & Ararat Bakery.
Federal Member for Wannon Mr. Dan Tehan who played on the day acknowledged the terrific condition of the course and how well the golf day is supported by the local community.
The winners of the Melbourne Parkview Hotel prizes on the day for the 3 Person Ambrose were won by Scott Turner, Sam King & Ron Harris. Ladies Winners were Kaye Powell, Marg Peoples and Joy Cronin.
The 3WM MIXXFM & The Weekly Advertiser Corporate Challenge was won by the Roger Pearse Shearing Contractor team and included Taine Pearse, Kup Awarangi and Andy Maconachie Their prizes included a $500 advertising package for the business and the team received a Barham Club Golf Weekend Package valued at $300.
