Competition fierce in footy tipping

The footballs were flying at the Patricia Hinchey Centre in honour of the AFL Grand Final.

Regulars to the Centre, dressed in their favourite footy colours, enjoyed a Grand Final Day during the week prior to the AFL Grand Final, which included traditional ‘footy food’, footy games and a hotly contested handball competition.

A highlight of the day was the announcement of another hotly contested competition – the Footy Tipping.

This year’s winner was Pat Tarrant with a score of 138, with runner up being Stan Kehoe not far behind on 136. Third place went to Elaine Rudland on 134 and fourth place Jean Cluff on 131 points.

Pat’s name will be engraved on the perpetual shield.
