A new piece of equipment known as a Hover Jack has been purchased by the East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary for the Ararat Hospital. The Hover Jack is a patient lifting device which will help patients, residents and nurses in the lifting process and also prevent injuries to patients and staff.
East Grampians Health Service Education Manager Mrs Heather Phillips highlighted that the Hover Jack improves safety for both the patient/resident and nurse during the lifting process and that nursing staff are very pleased with this generous donation.
The EGHS Auxiliary will be holding their Winters Lunch to raise funds for the Hospital. It will be held on Tuesday May 5th at the Willaura Town Hall. This year’s guest speaker is Zoe Phillips who is the photographer for the Weekly Times. Tickets are $30 per person, this includes a light lunch and refreshments, raffles and market stalls.
