7 new Pressure relieving mattress for the Health Service

The East Grampians Health Service has just received seven new pressure relieving mattresses after a generous donation from the EGHS Auxiliary.

East Grampians Health Service Wound Care and Stomal Therapy Nurse Mrs Terri-Anne Lewis said that “the Airflex pressure relieving mattresses prevent and manage pressure injuries which occur when patients are unwell. The mattresses are great device and we are so fortunate to have received this large donation from the EGHS Auxiliary which has enabled the health service to purchase them”, she said.

East Grampians Health Service Director of Clinical services Mr Peter Armstrong said “ EGHS is appreciative of the great efforts of the EGHS Auxiliary to purchase equipment to improve the lives of patients in the hospital.”

 East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary President, Mrs. Margie Kilpatrick believes that fundraising for the Health Service is a vital community service. “I am so pleased, our Auxiliary has worked tirelessly to fundraise for East Grampians Health Service, and the Air Pressure Relieving mattresses are a wonderful result.”
