We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate speech pathologist to provide Speech Pathology to our community.

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships.  We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services:

East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.  

What We Offer

About The Role

The work ranges across paediatric and adult clients with the focus mainly on community outpatient children 0-5 years. (No NDIS clients but able to assist with NDIS applications if required) Kindergarten Communication Screening would be at your discretion and based on your capacity. There is also some adult work mainly in acute and residential aged care.

A new graduate would be provided with external supports and professional development opportunities, to enable them to fulfill this work profile.

There are opportunities for additional training that will be tailored to your needs and preferences. Options may include speech pathology specific professional development, multidisciplinary training with other speech pathologists across regional Victoria, attendance at professional conferences and clinical supervision. Access to quality improvement and research opportunities are also provided.

About You

  • Bachelor or Masters in Speech Pathology
  • Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
