We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Podiatrist to provide podiatry services to our community as part of our community health team on a full time basis. This position is open to new graduates or experienced Podiatrist’s.
About Us
East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. The Health Service is located in beautiful Western Victoria, only a short 2-hour trip up the highway from Melbourne or Geelong and a stone’s-throw from the Grampians National Park. East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work. These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.

About The Role
Our graduate program provides an early career podiatrist with an opportunity to work in a variety of settings including inpatient, community outpatients, and high-risk clinics as part of a dynamic team which includes a podiatrist and two allied health assistants. You will be supported to undergo additional training opportunities which will be tailored to your needs and preferences. Further professional development opportunities will also apply to an experienced applicant.
These training opportunities could include podiatry specific skills (e.g. wound management), multidisciplinary training, attendance at professional conferences and access to clinical supervision. Access to quality improvement and research opportunities are also provided.
About You
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) or equivalent
- Registered or eligible to register with the Podiatry Board of Australia
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police, Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
