East Grampians Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our dedicated Allied Health team and provide high-quality exercise therapy services to our community. This is up to full time, 38 hours per week.

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. Based in beautiful Western Victoria, our Health Service is only a two-hour drive from Melbourne or Geelong and is located near the stunning Grampians National Park. East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.  

What We Offer

About The Role

The Exercise Physiologists work as part of the team of four Physiotherapists, three Exercise Physiologists and three Allied Health Assistants. This position would be suitable for either an experienced Exercise Physiologist or one in their early career. If a new graduate is successful, they will be supported through a graduate program that includes professional development, external support, and clinical supervision to assist in their ongoing growth and success in the role.

About You

  • Must hold a Graduate Diploma or Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology and have current AEP registration
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Commitment to evidenced based practice
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound level of exercise prescription skills

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
