We are currently seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Perioperative team. This is a part time position, 24 hours per week.

The EGHS Perioperative Department offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of the local community and the surrounding region. Perioperative services include two operating theatres, a 6 bay day procedure unit, central sterile supply department, a 4 bay recovery room and a renal dialysis suite. We offer a range of surgical procedures performed by visiting surgeons. These include; general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, urology, dental, ear nose and throat, caesarean section and certain emergency surgeries.

About The Role
We are looking for an Enrolled nurse with an interest in perioperative nursing to join our team. Our theatre operates 52 weeks of the year, Monday – Friday 0730 – 1730hrs. You will also be expected to work on call as rostered overnight, weekends and public holidays. Recent acute surgical experience is desirable. The role will require you to have knowledge of anaesthetics, PACU, scrub and scout disciplines , and eventually work autonomously in these fields.
About You
- Current qualifications and registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated sound level of nursing in a perioperative environment or a keen interest in working in this field.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence based approach to care.
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
