Commencing early 2027 East Grampians Health Service (EGHS) is offering a 12 month Graduate Nurse Program for recently qualified (2026) Enrolled Nurses.


About Us

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships.  We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services:

EGHS Diploma of Nursing (EN) Graduate Nurse Program is offered to newly registered Enrolled Nurses looking to consolidate learning and build foundations of care. The program will foster and develop the foundation skills of nursing with each graduate enrolled nurse being provided the opportunity to experience 3 x four month clinical rotations in acute, sub-acute and residential aged care.

With clinical support and guidance provided this programme is designed to consolidate your recently acquired skills and knowledge and give you an opportunity to work in different environments. 

The positions suit motivated graduates who are passionate about nursing in a rural setting and have an interest in a long term career with EGHS.

This program fosters and develops the foundation skills of nursing, each graduate enrolled nurse will have three 4-month rotations in a blend of clinical departments.

About You

Applicants for the position must be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • To work within a close-knit team
  • To identify and solve problems in the clinical environment
  • To communicate effectively and courteously with patients /residents
  • To complete and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient/resident documentation

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
