Clinical Support Nurse – Perioperative Unit
East Grampians Health Service is seeking to appoint an experienced Registered Nurse to the position of Clinical Support Nurse in the Perioperative Unit. We have 2 positions available:
A fixed-term maternity leave cover position of 16.0 hours per week, from April 2026 to April 2027.
A permanent ongoing position of 16.0 hours per week.

About The Role
A Registered Nurse who is responsible for providing direct clinical support and instruction to, and for mentoring graduates, newly appointed or less experienced employees to develop high quality clinical care skills.
About You
The applicant must demonstrate commitment to the provision of direct clinical support in the Perioperative Unit for undergraduate nursing students, newly appointed or less experienced nurses as well as existing staff to develop their clinical knowledge and skills. The Heath Service strongly supports workplace learning and professional development for all employees to assist the ongoing growth in our value of a “Learning Culture”.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Excellent clinical knowledge and skills, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback to graduate nurses
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards same
- Post graduate Certificate/ Diploma in Perioperative nursing
- Positive and self-motivated for workplace learning
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
