We are seeking suitably skilled and experienced Casual employees in all areas.


Clinical Services / Medical Services Nursing

EGHS has a wide range of Clinical Services including Acute, Midwifery, Urgent Care, Perioperative, Dialysis, Aged Care and Community Nursing departments employing Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Health Care Workers and Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinators.

Supporting these areas are our Clerical, Infection Control, Health Information and Pharmacy specialists.

Medical Services Please note EGHS does not employ Doctors or Surgeons. Our Medical staff are employed on a Visiting Medical Officer basis through other health and medical services.

Allied Health / Diagnostic Services

Diagnostic Services include Radiologists and Sonographers working closely with all areas.

Our allied health practitioners include dietitians, dentists, oral health therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, podiatrists and diabetes educators within the Community Health Centre.

Work within the health services includes in our inpatient unit, our 3 aged care facilities, with outpatient and outreach care at Lake Bolac and Elmhurst Bush Nursing Centres, Hopkins and Langi Kal Kal Correctional facilities and other healthcare sites within the local community.

Support Services

Environmental, Catering and Maintenance Services employ staff with food handling, food preparation, cleaning, portering or maintenance skills. Apprentice and trainee positions are available as advertised.

Executive Services

Our executive services include finance, human resources, payroll, clinical governance, quality and risk, education and community liaison.


About Us

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships.  We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services:

East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.  These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.

What We Offer

All successful applicants will be required to have relevant qualifications and current professional registration in Victoria (as applicable), eligibility to work in Australia, pre-employment immunisation clearance and to undergo relevant employment checks including Police, Working With Children and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
