Breast Care Nurse – Community Nursing
EGHS is seeking a dedicated Breast Care Nurse to join our Community Nursing team and provide expert, holistic care to patients in the community.
This is a Part Time position, 16 hours per week.

Community Nursing is a part of the broader Community Services Department based in Ararat. We provide community nursing across the catchment area of Ararat Rural City. Community nursing includes palliative care, district nursing, hospital in the home, hospital admission risk program (HARP), home care packages and specialist nursing programs. Each program area aims to provide awareness and education which enables community members to have a better understanding of their own health issues and thus take greater responsibility for improving their own health outcomes.

About The Role
- Work collaboratively with other services and programs to deliver person-centred care
- Clarify and reinforce information
- Provide specialist nursing care, education and support to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer including diagnosis, treatment, recovery follow up and support throughout the metastatic disease.
- Work in an equitable, sensitive and culturally safe manner
- Participate in health promotion, education and service development activities within the community
About You
- Must be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Experience in Oncology, breast care and community nursing
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Understanding of care coordination
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
