Willaura Market a great family day out

The Willaura Healthcare Outdoor Market is again shaping up to be a great family day out.

The market will be held on Sunday March 5 adjacent to Willaura Healthcare in Delacombe Way, Willaura, from 10am to 2pm, with delicious food, children’s entertainment, music, circus performances and quality market stalls.

Willaura Healthcare Auxiliary member and market coordinator Jane Millear said there will be additional children’s entertainment this year.

Joining the jumping castle and mini golf will be a trackless train that will keep the children entertained for hours.

Popular music duo SOFT will return to the market to entertain this year, while the Willaura Primary School’s choir and band will perform for the first time.

Ararat 800 Primary School’s Bamboozle circus troupe will be back for the seventh year and is always a colourful addition to the entertainment.

Market stalls will include jams, preserves, homewares, metal art, cards, jewellery, art and craft, chocolate, fudge, plants, soy candles and much more.

“With more than 70 stalls at this year’s market, there is sure to be something for everyone,” Mrs Millear said.

“We have also extended the children’s entertainment to include a trackless train which will take families on a ride around the recreation reserve and market grounds, and we are delighted to have the newly formed Willaura Primary School choir and band perform this year.”

More than 1500 patrons attend the market every year, which is growing in popularity for locals and people from the wider Ararat region.

Stallholders who would like to register to attend the market should contact Jane Millear on 5354 1452 and request a registration form. Registrations close on February 20.
