Her grandmother worked at the Ararat hospital, and her three children, mother and herself were all born there as well.

Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Education with Honours from the University of Ballarat and took up a teaching position back in her home town of Ararat where she has also held various leadership roles. She has been heavily involved with various sporting clubs and has been awarded a Life Membership with the Wimmera Football/Netball League and the Ararat Football/Netball Club for her contribution on committees, as well as a player and for her coaching. She has also held various positions with the Ararat Basketball Association.

Megan has been an active member of her local community and has also held positions on the Ararat Correctional Facilities Community Advisory Group and the AFL Wimmera Mallee Advisory Group.

Having lived in the region all her life, Megan is proud to bring a depth of local knowledge to the board and is passionate about health and supporting community.
