Finalist in Victorian Public Health Care Awards

East Grampians Health Service was named a finalist in the Victorian Public Health Care Awards, Premier’s Health Service of the Year (Medium).

EGHS Board Chair Ken Weldin, Chief Executive Nick Bush and staff members Sophie Ping, Director of Medical Services, Sarah Woodburn, Director of Community Services, Tracey Walters, Manager of Acute Services and Jodie Holwell, Community Liaison Officer, attended the awards ceremony at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

EGHS joined Latrobe Regional Hospital and Maryborough District Health Service as one of three finalists in the category, with Latrobe Regional Hospital winning the award.

Staff were also pleased to meet Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton.

EGHS CE Nick Bush congratulated all staff on their hard work, care and compassion for patients, residents and consumers and for their camaraderie and care for each other.

“We have a great team at EGHS and it is their hard work and commitment to their community that is behind our nomination as a finalist in this most prestigious award”.
