Willaura staff to face the clippers!

Each year, 20,000 people face the clippers and bravely shave their hair as part of the World’s Greatest Shave, to send a powerful message of hope to the 47 Australians who are diagnosed with blood cancer every single day.

In 2021, five staff members from East Grampians Health Service who work at Willaura Healthcare will shave their hair and raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. They include Julie Chick, Brian Kelly, Gary Cunningham, Jess Peters and Kathy Young.

They have started growing their hair and in March next year will show off their long locks before shaving it all off.

A number of fundraisers will be held over the coming months, including a giant raffle, and we will keep you posted as to how you can get your hands on a ticket.

East Grampians Health Service acknowledges the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia, Jupagalk and Eastern Maar peoples as the Traditional Custodians of these lands. We acknowledge that their holistic approach to health; harmony between body, mind, spirit and environment, has been practiced on these lands for thousands of years. We thank past and present Elders for this knowledge to help improve health and wellbeing for all Australians.
