Toy Library receives $5000 grant

The EGHS Ark Toy and Activity Library is the recipient of a $5000 Ararat Wind Farm community grant.

Together with a $1000 grant received from the Ararat RSL Community Grant Program, the Ararat Wind Farm grant will purchase a shade sail for the outdoor play area adjacent to the new Toy Library space, as part of the Community Health Centre redevelopment.

The Ararat Wind Farm’s Sustainable Community Grants Fund provides financial support to promote social and environmental sustainability initiatives for the benefit of the communities within the municipalities of Ararat, Northern Grampians and the Pyrenees. This fund is part of the Ararat Wind Farm’s community investment program.

Many community groups from across the three municipalities shared in the $80,000 fund.

The Toy Library was represented by president Kaye Chamings and secretary Di Pickering, as well as Community Liaison Officer Jodie Holwell, at the presentation.
