EGHS Aged Care Auxiliary AGM

The EGHS Aged Care Auxiliary held its AGM on the 18th July at Pyrenees House. The AGM attracted a good crowd of people who were interested in listening to guest speakers Lorraine Koenen and Ingrid Henry talk about their role as Leisure & lifestyle co-ordinators in Aged Care. Ingrid also talked about the implementation of Montessori methods in Aged Care and the positive changes it has brought about. A small group took a tour of 70 Lowe St, where Montessori in Aged Care has been implemented to see the wonderful additions such as the vegetable garden and chicken coop and other lifestyle initiatives that have been implemented as part of the Montessori project.

Office bearers were elected with the following results:

President :  Libby McCormick

Secretary:  Jane Richardson

Treasurer:  Chris Doak

Assistant Treasurer: Lynne Wilson

Auditor : Sally Hinchcliffe

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Aged care Auxiliary contact Libby McCormick on 5352 2678.
