Local footy Clubs support fundraiser

The annual “Legends Football Game” held between the Tatyoon & Willaura Moyston Football Clubs past players participated in recently raised $1,000 from the game which was donated to the East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary. The funds will be for their upcoming Women, Wisdom & Wellbeing Dinner held on Friday 26^th July.

Each player paid $10 to play in the legends game. A Richmond Football Club jumper was  donated by Richmond Footballer David Astbury who started his career at tatyoon and is the grandson of Auxiliary member Leonie King. Scott Astbury, uncle of to David sold tickets around the town which was great effort.

Mr Peter Wigg an explosive rover of yesteryear and governor of the day said “The players thought this year’s fundraising efforts could go towards the East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary Women Wisdom & wellbeing Dinner. This is the 3^rd year of the Legend’s Football Game and we hope to continue running it every year to help raise money for local community groups.”

EGHS Auxiliary President, Mrs. Margie Kilpatrick, said that “The Auxiliary are  appreciative of this generous donation given by the two local football clubs and this will help in our fundraising efforts to raise money this year for new emergency trolleys in the Urgent Care Centre of the local Health Service.”
