$7000 raised at Willaura Market

The Willaura Healthcare Auxiliary raised more than $7000 at this year’s annual Willaura Market.

More than 1500 people visited the market in the grounds of Willaura Healthcare, enjoying the wide variety of entertainment, including the music of local band SOFT, the Willaura Primary School choir and band and Ararat 800 Primary School Bamboozle circus troupe.

There was mini golf, a jumping castle and trackless train to keep the children entertained as well as vintage cars on display.

Market coordinator Jane Millear said everyone enjoyed the day.

“It was great weather and that brought the crowds out, all enjoying the variety of stalls we had and the entertainment provided,” Mrs Millear said.

“The stallholders also love coming to Willaura because it is such a friendly market in a lovely spot.

“Most importantly, we raised vital funds for Willaura Healthcare, which will go towards providing new furniture and furnishings for residents, creating a more homelike and comfortable environment for them.”
