East Grampians Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Social Worker to join our dedicated team and provide high-quality social work services to our community. Commencement January 2025.
East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work. These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.
This role is part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, a podiatrist, foot care assistants, social workers, allied health assistants, and maternal child and health nurses, all co-located in the Community Health Centre. You will work with a diverse range of clients across community, paediatrics, acute, aged care, and palliative care settings.
The social work department will consist of two Social Workers, including the Senior Social Worker. This position is suitable for either an experienced Social Worker or a new graduate. If a new graduate is successful, they will be supported through a graduate program that includes professional development, external support, and clinical supervision to assist in their ongoing growth and success in the role.
