We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy to the Ararat community.
East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. Only a short 2-hour trip up the highway from Melbourne or Geelong and a stone’s-throw away from the Grampians National Park. East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work. These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.
The successful applicant will be part of a team, which includes four physiotherapists, three exercise physiologists and four Allied Health Assistants, working within a multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, diabetic educators, a health promotion officer and maternal child and health nurses. This team is co-located in the EGHS Community Health Centre. There are multidisciplinary team meetings which provide time for collaborative care for consumers.
Opportunities for professional development and additional training, which will be tailored to your needs and preferences, are available. Options may include multidisciplinary training with other allied health staff, attendance at discipline specific professional development courses and clinical supervision.
You will also be actively involved in quality and improvement activities, monitoring service outcomes, implementing system improvements, and contributing to policy review.
