ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST – Graduate Program

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate oral health therapist to provide oral health therapy and health promotion to our community.  This is a full time (negotiable) position.

East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships.  We are committed to providing quality care and services that meet the needs of the community, whilst continuously striving for improvement and aiming to lead the way in provision of health related services.

EGHS Community Health Centre provides primary care to the Ararat and district community with Dental, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Diabetes Education and Social Work services. While the majority of care is delivered from our Community Health Centre, allied health clinicians also provide outreach clinics to our Willaura campus and two Bush Nursing Centres. Allied Health and Dental teams also support other EGHS departments including our Acute Services and Residential Aged Care Facilities. Our centre hosts speciality clinics for visiting services and surgeons and is co-located with local Maternal Child Health services.

Our graduate program provides an early career oral health therapist an opportunity to work in a variety of settings including our dental clinic, aged care, schools and early childhood centres as part of a dynamic team of dentists, oral health therapists, dental technicians and dental assistants. You will be supported to undergo additional training opportunities which will be tailored to your needs and preferences.

These training opportunities will include oral health therapy specific skills, multidisciplinary training with other early career professionals, attendance at professional conferences and access to clinical supervision. Access to quality improvement and research opportunities are also provided.
