We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver a broad range of occupational therapy services throughout our rural catchment.
This full time role provides the opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to develop their skills across a diverse range of clinical areas, including community care and outpatients, acute in-patients, residential aged care, and includes an opportunity to work in a correctional facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload including:
Promoting client-centred goals and implementing treatment strategies to assist clients to work towards optimum occupational performance
Home safety assessments and home modifications, prescription of assistive technology, equipment and specialised seating, functional assessments, ADL retraining and carer/family support
Assisting in patient discharge planning and liaising with outside agencies
Actively participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences
Contributing to Health Promotion initiatives and group education
Assist the learning and development of students
