East Grampians Health Service (EGHS) is seeking to recruit a Consumer Partner. This position is an exciting opportunity for a community member with lived experience with, or knowledge of, health care to help EGHS deliver safe, effective and person centred care. This is a part time position (8 hours per week) – 12 month tenure.
The position will focus on increasing opportunities for consumer involvement at EGHS. This includes assisting with recruiting new consumers and supporting them to contribute the consumer view. Developing and reviewing consumer information is an important part of this role.
It is preferred (but not essential) that the applicant has lived experience of a health service as either a patient/client or carer, or knowledge of the health care system (but does not have a health related qualification). This position would suit someone with the confidence to actively engage the local community. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook) is required.
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance (Including COVID-19) and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks).
