Patients are encouraged to use their private health insurance

East Grampians Health Service is encouraging patients admitted to the hospital to elect to use their private health insurance.

East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Officer, Mr Nick Bush said ‘Any admitted patient that uses their private health insurance will not receive any bills.’

Mr Bush highlighted that the use of private health insurance enables the Health Service to gain additional income to maintain existing services, purchase equipment and develop new services for the community.

East Grampians Health Service has recently appointed a Private Patient Liaison Officer, Mrs Nadine Brady, to assist with the co-ordination of private patient services for all our admitted patients. Mrs Brady is excited about expanding her as role Private Patient Liaison Officer and working closely with private patients within the Health Service.

If any patient or community member have any questions, please contact the; Private Patient Liaison Officer, Mrs Nadine Brady or the Health Information Manager, Miss Catriona Byrne on 5352 9300.
